RECERTIFICATION: RED CROSS WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR (WSI)

- Description
- Specifications
To ensure all Red Cross Water Safety Instructors are continuously up-to-date with current practices and procedures, WSI instructors are required to upkeep their certification through yearly Online Professional Development Modules (at no additional fee). WSIs who do not complete these modules, must attend a 1-Day WSI Re-Certification Course (2 hours classroom + 3 hours pool). WSIs have up to 3 years to re-certify. Past this 3-year grace period, candidates will be required to complete the 2-Day Splashback course to get re-certified.
Prerequisites: Proof of an expired Red Cross WSI certification.
Certification: Upon successful completion, candidates are re-certified for 1 year as a WSI, and are allowed to teach Red Cross Swim programs without direct supervision.
